Meet Kathy: Sales Associate

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am married to Bobby, my husband. Together we have 4 adult children & their wonderful spouses. We have been blessed with 6 grandchildren. 

 

How long have you been with Oz’s Jewelers?

I retired from Catawba County Schools in 2017. I began working at Oz's Jewelers in 2019 part-time.

 

What do you love most about working at Oz’s?

I work with some wonderful people. We are like family to each other. We have great customers & a beautiful selection of jewelry.

 

What’s your jewelry philosophy?

Customers are the most important. Listen to them to see what they want. I work hard to find what they are looking for.

 

Your grandson began working at the store when he was on high school, & is now our Creative Director. What’s it like getting to work side by side with him in the store?

How many people can say they get to work with their grandchild?! I love working with Dalton. He is passionate about everything he does, He is just a good person!

 

What is your favorite gemstone & why?

I have always loved blue sapphires. They are elegant & eye-catching.

 

What’s your favorite piece of jewelry you already own? 

My diamond pendant! It was my mom's & is very sentimental to me.

 

Any Oz’s pieces you have your eye on? 

I'm wanting a pearl ring. Pearl is my birthstone. They're timeless  & they never go out of style.

 

You’re an animal lover! How many furry family members do you have?

We have 4 dogs!! Violet is my little Shih Tzu & Vada is Bobby's black Lab. We also have 2 rescues: Greta, a pit bull mix, & Rex, a shepherd mix. Yes, our house is a zoo!

 

What does your ideal Saturday look like?

Sitting on the beach & getting some "vitamin sea"!!
