Melissa

Originally from Huntington, WV, Melissa has called several places home before settling in Hickory. A proud graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, she also holds the Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP) credential from the Gemological Institute of America. Melissa first joined Oz's Jewelers as a part-time team member in 2011, and her exceptional skills and dedication led her to become our Store Manager in early 2019.

As the Store Manager, Melissa is the heart of our daily operations. She oversees the overall management of the store, ensuring that every aspect runs seamlessly. Her responsibilities include leading and training staff, managing customer service, and handling the front-end of the store. Melissa plays a key role in maintaining high standards of presentation and ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service. She also works closely with Dalton on strategic planning and operational improvements, making sure our store remains a top destination for fine jewelry.

Melissa is a connoisseur of fine jewelry, often seen wearing a stunning diamond bracelet among other fabulous pieces from her collection. Her dedication to the industry is further highlighted by her recent achievement of the Diamond Council of America's 2024 Scholarship, presented by the 24kt Club.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her daughter, Sarah, indulges in furniture shopping, and has recently taken up a new hobby of baking homemade bread.
