Founded in 1983 by Oz and Brenda Hefner, Oz’s Jewelers began as a dedicated jewelry repair shop built on hard work, skill, and a commitment to quality. Over the years, their passion and craftsmanship transformed the business into a full-service jewelry store, earning a reputation as a trusted name in Hickory, North Carolina.
In 2025, long-time employees Dalton Powell and Melissa Haynes continued the legacy by acquiring the store under The Hickory Jewelry Company, ensuring that the values of great service, expert craftsmanship, and community involvement remain at the heart of everything we do continuing forward as Oz's Jewelers by The Hickory Jewelry Co.
While our name has evolved, our dedication to excellence has not. Oz’s Jewelers is more than just a jewelry store—we are expert custom designers, skilled jewelers, and a trusted resource for all things fine jewelry. Our state-of-the-art, on-site repair shop remains a cornerstone of our business, proudly one of the first in North Carolina to incorporate laser welding technology for precise and advanced repairs.
